Running out of space in your mailbox? This guide shows you how to sort emails by size, remove the largest ones, and keep your inbox tidy. It’s a quick process that can help prevent storage issues and improve performance.
Step 1: Log In to Webmail
Open your browser and sign in to your webmail account.
Step 2: Open the Options Menu
Once logged in, click on ‘Options’ at the top of the page.
Step 3: Sort Emails by Size
In the Options panel:
Set ‘Sorting column’ to Size
Set ‘Sorting order’ to Descending
This will arrange your emails from largest to smallest.
Click Save to apply the changes.
📁 This setting applies to all folders you view—Inbox, Sent Items, etc.
Step 4: Delete Unnecessary Large Emails
Review the largest emails—anything over 5MB is worth checking.
🗑️ Delete any that are not needed (e.g. emails with large attachments you no longer require).
Step 5: Clear Out Deleted Items (Optional)
Go to the Deleted Items folder and remove any emails permanently.
This can help free up even more space.
Step 6: Revert Sorting Options (Optional)
If you'd prefer your usual view back:
Click ‘Options’
Change ‘Sorting column’ to None
Click Save
Your email view will now return to default sorting.
✅ You’re all done! You should now have more available mailbox space.
