Removing Synced OneDrive and SharePoint Folders from File Explorer

Step 1: Access OneDrive Settings

1. Locate the OneDrive Icon: Look for the OneDrive icon (a blue cloud) at the bottom right of your screen, in the system tray. If you see a white cloud, this is for your personal OneDrive and is not relevant to this guide.
   

2. Open Settings: Right-click the OneDrive icon and select 'Help & Settings', then click on 'Settings' from the context menu.
   

Step 2: Manage Account Settings

3. Open the Account Tab: In the OneDrive settings window that appears, navigate to the 'Account' tab to view your synced libraries.

Step 3: Unlink or Stop Syncing

4. Check Sync Status: If the top of the window says "OneDrive - [Your Organisation]," proceed to the next step. If it doesn’t, go directly to step 7.

5. Unlink Your PC (if necessary): If you wish to stop syncing all folders from your school or organisation, click 'Unlink this PC' under your organisation or school email address.

   
   
   

6. Re-Sync (Optional): If you've unlinked your PC but want to re-establish a connection with specific SharePoint sites or folders, sign back into OneDrive with your school or organisation account and sync only the sites you need.

Step 4: Stop Syncing Specific SharePoint Sites

7. Stop Specific Syncs: If you want to stop syncing a specific SharePoint site without unlinking your account, click 'Stop sync' next to the SharePoint site listed in the 'Account' tab. This will remove the sync connection for that specific site but keep the others active.
