Sometimes you may need to access a shared mailbox, for example an enquiries or sales mailbox that may be shared between multiple team members. Please note that this guide is specifically for users on Microsoft 365 - not those on Black Owl Hosting mail.
Step 1 - Sign into your account on Microsoft 365, then browse to the Outlook 'app' in your web browser.
Step 2 - Click on the profile picture (or your initials) in the top right-hand corner and select Open another mailbox....
Step 3 - When the Open another mailbox window appears start typing the name or email address of the shared mailbox, and then either click on 'Search Directory' or the name of the mailbox.
Step 4 - When the confirmation of the shared mailbox appears, click Open.
The shared mailbox will now open in a new tab, and you are able to use this like a normal mailbox (read, send, reply, etc). Remember that you will be acting as the mailbox, so sent emails will come from the Shared Mailbox.
