Changing a WooCommerce Product from Private to Public, and Public to Private

This guide will explain how to make products in your WooCommerce store (WordPress) either visible to the public, or hidden from the public.

Step 1 - Log into your WooCommerce admin panel and locate the product that you want to amend.

Step 2 - In the product editor, locate the "Visibility" section on the right hand side of the editing page.

Step 3 - Click on 'Edit' next to the current visibility.

Step 4 - This will bring up the visibility options so that you can choose.

• Public - this will be visible to website visitors without the need for them to sign in.
• Password protected - the title and product image will be publicly visible, but to view product information or purchase they will need a set password.
• Private - this will only be visible to website administrators when logged in.

Step 5 - Once you have chosen your visibility option, click it, then click on 'OK'.

Step 6 - Finally, click on the blue 'Update' button to push the change to the site.

If you want to change the visibility status of the product again at a later date, you can follow the same process to make the change at any time.
